Shell Graduate Programme
Join us as a Graduate at Shell where you can grow and thrive as we power progress together.
Applications for Shell Graduate Programme 2026 are open and will close on 10 December 2025
What to expect on the programme
The Shell Graduate Programme is a leadership development program that develops future leaders of Shell.
Your Learning Journey
Within your three years in the programme, you will be molded to be a future leader through a range of development opportunities which may include job rotations, on-the-job challenges, formal training and coaching.
Tailored Graduate Development
At Shell, we empower graduates to take ownership of your own development.
Co-created by you and your line manager to make the best of your individual strengths, your unique plan is an agreed course of action to help you keep track of your progress and steer your learning.
Using this plan as a guide, you will actively manage your development while your line manager will provide the necessary enablement.
End-of-Programme Assessment
At the end of your programme, your performance and achievements will be reviewed. Upon a successful outcome, an exciting next phase of the journey will commence.

These include qualities such as their capacity to analyse situations and propose purposeful solutions that align with our strategic goals, adaptability towards learning and growing from feedback in order to deliver results, and how they nurture relationships and work effectively with a diverse team.
To be eligible for the Shell Graduate Programme we ask the following of you:
- You must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor or Master’s degree in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2026 or within the last three years;
- You live in the UK;
- You are required to have graduated prior to your first day at Shell.

How to apply
Job Try-out and On-demand Interview (virtual)
You start with the Virtual Job Try-out where you experience the job through simulations where you tackle challenges, demonstrate your problem-solving skills, share your unique story, and reveal your work approach. This is a dynamic way to gauge how you’ll fit into a role in the Shell Graduate Programme. You then move on to the On-Demand Interview. You have to record your responses and complete the interview within 7 days from receiving the invitation. The Virtual Job Try-out and On-Demand Interview will take approximately 40 minutes.
Final assessment: Case study and Interview (online)
The next stage includes completing an online case study session with two Shell employees. You will need to read and prepare for this, but don’t worry, all the information you need will be provided to you in advance.
Then you will complete an online interview with the same two Shell employees. This allows us to get to know you better and for you to get to know us better.
Job offer
Following the successful completion of Stage 2, you can be offered a spot in the Shell Graduate Programme.
Depending on availability of roles, of coaches, and of your skills we will find a suitable place for you within our company.
Choose the Shell path for you
Shell is one of the world’s largest companies, with a variety of roles and opportunities, globally. To help you find the best place for your skills, we organised our Graduate Programme into four main paths, each with its own distinct business areas.
