London - Equinor and Shell announce the appointment of Neil McCulloch as Chief Executive Officer and Nicoletta Giadrossi as Chair of their offshore UK Incorporated Joint Venture, Adura.

London - The name of the UK North Sea’s largest independent oil and gas producer has been revealed today, marking a major milestone in the creation of the new company. 

London - The Shell MIDEL range of transformer insulating liquids is now part of the Shell transformer liquids portfolio that includes Shell Diala, gas-to-liquid (GTL); to mark this development, the new Shell MIDEL brand has today been launched worldwide. The addition of the Shell MIDEL liquids marks a new chapter in the power energy sector, with the goal of driving innovation, improving reliability, and accelerating the energy transition for Shell and the broader industry.

London − The Scottish Court has today ruled that work on the Jackdaw project can continue while new consents are sought.

London − Shell U.K. Limited (“Shell UK”), a subsidiary of Shell plc, and Esso Exploration and Production UK Limited, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corporation (“ExxonMobil”), have reached an agreement to sell their offshore natural gas assets interests in the U.K. Southern North Sea to RockRose Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Viaro Energy. These assets are currently operated by Shell through Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM), a joint venture between Shell and ExxonMobil.

London - Shell U.K. Limited (Shell UK) has taken a final investment decision (FID) on the Victory gas field in the UK North Sea, approximately 47 km north-west of the Shetland Islands. Once onstream, the field will help to maintain domestically produced gas for Britain’s homes, businesses and power generation.

London − Shell U.K. Limited has completed the acquisition of MIDEL and MIVOLT, from Manchester-based M&I Materials Ltd.

London – Following regulatory approval, Shell Petroleum Company Limited, through its 100% owned subsidiary Impello Limited (“Shell”), has completed the sale of its home energy businesses, Shell Energy Retail Limited (SERL) in the UK and Shell Energy Retail GmbH (SERG) in Germany, to Octopus Energy Group.

London − Shell U.K. Limited has signed an agreement to purchase MIDEL and MIVOLT, two lines of business currently owned by Manchester-based M&I Materials Ltd.

Shell Petroleum Company Limited, through its 100% owned subsidiary Impello Limited (“Shell”), has agreed to sell its home energy businesses, Shell Energy Retail Limited (SERL) in the UK and Shell Energy Retail GmbH (SERG) in Germany, to Octopus Energy Group.

As we stated at the end of January 2023, we have been conducting a strategic review of our home energy retail businesses in the UK, The Netherlands and Germany. That review has now concluded and as a consequence, we intend to exit those businesses.

Shell UK Limited (Shell UK) and British Cycling have signed an agreement making Shell UK an official partner of the national governing body.

Shell is in the process of purchasing four solar farm projects currently being developed by Anesco, to help meet growing demand for renewable power in the UK.

• By 2030, Shell UK aims to have 100,000 public EV charge points across the country
• 11,000 of these will be rapid chargers at locations including forecourts and supermarkets
• This means that 90% of all UK drivers will be within a 10-minute drive of a Shell rapid charger
