UK Start Up wins New Energy Challenge


Technology that increases the lifetime and reliability of battery packs snatched the top prize at the New Energy Challenge 2017. Start-up company Brill Power Ltd from the United Kingdom won a 100,000 euro convertible loan. Brill Power’s innovative technology had the best fit with the challenge profile: a real game-changer that can contribute to shaping a low-carbon energy system for the future.

Shell launches electric vehicle charging service in the UK


Today (18 October, 2017) Shell opened its first electric vehicle (EV) charging points at three UK forecourts (in London, Surrey and Derby). The service, called Shell Recharge, can charge most electric vehicles in around 30 minutes.
