Our terminal at Shell Haven
Shell has had operations in Shell Haven on the Thames Estuary for more than 100 years.
Shell Haven is the location for our UK aviation fuel terminal. The site, which is in Thurrock near to Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope, receives aviation fuel from tankers arriving from across the world and distributes the fuel across the UK via pipelines and road freight to various airports including Heathrow and Birmingham.
Curiously, despite the long association, the name ‘Shell Haven’ is entirely coincidental.
We aim to be a valued member of the community. At the terminal, operations are managed with care for the safety of staff, the community and the environment.
