Shell GO+ Rewards Research : Terms and conditions
About the opportunity
This is an opportunity for Shell GO+ Rewards members to register their interest to be selected to take part in a loyalty focus group. This opportunity is only open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales aged 18 years or over.
The survey to register interest will be open for 10 days from 9th March to 23:59 18th March 2026.
Each group will discuss the Shell GO+ Rewards programme and give their feedback on some ideas during 2-hour session.
Participates must be Shell GO+ Rewards members.
Only those contacted via a Push Notification and Reward tile can register their interest to attend.
Focus groups will take place either in-person (locations to be confirmed but will be in central London, Birmingham and Manchester), or online, via a platform like Zoom or Teams, in March 2026.
The research is being run on behalf of Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited (as agent for Shell U.K. Limited), Shell Centre, York Road, London, SE1 7NA (“Shell UK”) by an independent market research agency, STRAT7 Incite, 8 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8WB.
Registering interest and being selected to take part
Shell GO+ Rewards members who are interested, must register their interest via a short survey (located in the Rewards section of the Shell GO+ App). The survey contains a few questions requesting member’s, full name, contact number, email and postcode. These details are sent by STRAT7 Incite securely to the independent recruitment agency (Ardent Fieldwork Ltd, 63 Church Hill Road, Barnet, London, EN4 8SY). A limited number of members will then be contacted to invite them to take part.
Registering interest does not guarantee selection, as spaces are limited. If members do not hear from the recruitment agency within two weeks of registering their interest, they are to assume they have not been selected on this occasion.
The process if selected to take part
The recruitment agency will contact members who have registered their interest via telephone to confirm their contact details are correct and check they are available during the period when the focus groups are due to run.
If the member is available, they will be invited to participate and asked for their bank account details for the incentive payment. These bank details are not shared with Ardent Fieldwork or anyone else, including STRAT7 or Shell UK, as participants enter their BACs details onto a separate secure site, which Ardent Fieldwork do not have access to. This site’s service is based in Frankfurt, within the EU, at the AWS Data Centre.
The recruitment agency will confirm the date, time and location of the participants group, via a telephone call and in a follow-up email. Participants will also be sent a consent form to sign and return back ahead of participating in the group. In this consent form, participants must agree to keep anything they see or discuss in the group confidential; it also explains their privacy rights and consent to use their image and/or voice.
About the focus group
Participants will take part in an exciting group discussion with 4-5 other people, in which they are expected to share their relevant experiences and views about the Shell GO+ Rewards programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to give feedback on some ideas for developing the programme; honest opinions will help make any developments as relevant as possible for Shell GO+ Rewards members.
The group will be run by an independent moderator from STRAT7 Incite. There may be some live viewers from STRAT7 Incite who are also working on the project, and/or from Shell UK. The research session may be audio and/or video recorded and may capture participants’ image and/or voice. Some limited video clips from the research sessions may be included in the research agency’s final report to Shell UK Limited (“Shell UK”). Such video clips may include identifiable participants.
The video clips will be used by Shell UK solely for internal research and analysis purposes and will not be used for marketing, advertising or sales purposes, nor shared externally.
Except for the use of such video clips as described above, any research outputs shared with Shell UK will be anonymised and will not identify individual participants.
Incentive for full participation
Successful participants who chose to take part in a focus group will be paid £120 for their full participation in the group. Full participation means attending yourself (no-one else can attend in your place), being responsive to the moderator, and offering thoughtful opinions throughout the duration of the group.
This incentive is the full and final amount; there are no additional payments or rewards available (for example, travel costs to and from a face-to-face group are not covered).
This will be paid by the recruitment agency Ardent Fieldwork no later than 28 days after your participation, by bank transfer.
Shell UK Liability
Shell UK and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this research, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
Changes to Terms:
Shell UK may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this research, and these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
