Shell St Fergus Intermittent Flaring
Shell U.K. Limited can confirm there is planned intermittent flaring at our St Fergus Gas Plant near Peterhead (in the North East of Scotland) between 1st and 4th September.
The intermittent flaring is a necessary safety procedure while we carry out planned, routine maintenance work, which we expect to complete by 19th September.
The flaring is necessary for safe operations, and please be assured that we manage our activity to keep it to a minimum. We expect this occurrence to cause minimal noise and light impact to the local community.
We have informed SEPA of the work, which will be carried out to meet inspection regulations.
Thank you for your understanding.
