Shell FNGL: Planned maintenance - notification of intermittent flaring

The Shell Fife NGL Plant would like to advise the local community that our planned maintenance is due to end on schedule, and the start-up of a module on the19/20th September may cause intermittent flaring for a period of 24 hours.

We notified the planned maintenance activities on the refrigeration system of Module 1 on 28 August. These are now complete and we are returning the module to service.

The flaring is necessary for safe operations, and please be assured that we manage our activity to keep it to a minimum. We expect this occurrence to cause minimal noise and light impact to the local community.
