Our Terms and Conditions have changed from 31 December 2015.

We will only share your details with companies in the Shell group and business that process or take part in the Shell Drivers’ Club in accordance with our Privacy Policy.  We would love to send you exclusive mailings, as part of our Shell Drivers’ Club scheme, which include money off/extra points coupons, plus news, products and services tailored to you.  If you would prefer not to receive these you may update your preferences at any time after logging into your account.  New members will be given this option when registering for a new account.

The following Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Shell Drivers’ Club card issued by Shell to Members. 

1.    General

a)    These terms and conditions, in conjunction with the Shell Drivers’ Club Privacy Policy (the SDC Privacy Policy), are applicable across the entire Shell Drivers’ Club Scheme (SDC) including V Power Club and any participation and use of the Card is considered as acceptance of both.   

b)    The Card is issued by and remains the property of Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited as agent for Shell U.K. Limited. The Card must be returned to Shell on request. 

c)    Shell can cancel, withdraw, alter or substitute an alternative rewards scheme at anytime. 

d)    All members of SDC must be resident in the UK and aged 17 years or over. 

e)    The Card is not transferable, cannot be copied and can only be used by the member who is named and registered for the card. 

f)    Shell may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel SDC accounts, cards, coupons, vouchers and points, in whatever form, and / or remove a member from SDC at any time where there is reasonable belief of: 

a.    any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme; 

b.    any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions; and/or 

c.    any behaviour relating to the Shell Drivers’ Club or the Shell Group that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information. 

g)    The Card is not a credit, debit, or cheque guarantee card. It must be signed and used only by the person who has signed it. 

h)    These terms and conditions do not confer any enforceable rights on a person who is not party to these terms and conditions. The promoter of both the Shell Drivers’ Club and the Shell V-Power Club is Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited, (as agent for Shell U.K. Limited) registered in England with company number 03625633 with registered address at Shell Centre, London, SE1 7NA. 

2.    Applying for the Card

a)    SDC Cards are available at Shell Service Stations and participating Waitrose sites (subject to availability) and can be used to collect points straightaway. However to redeem points earned, Members must register the Card on the website or by following the instructions on the Shell Drivers' Club application form. 

b)    All registration details must be completed in full and must contain your name, home address, postcode and e-mail address. You will not be able to redeem your points for certain redemption options unless you have provided a valid e-mail address and/or a valid postal address.   

c)    Members will be asked to elect their preferred redemption option when registering their Card. 

d)    Members must keep Shell informed of any changes to their registration details.  Shell cannot be held responsible for any loss of points or vouchers incurred as a result of out of date details.  To make any changes to either personal details or election options, please log onto www.shell.co.uk/driversclub or contact Customer Services at driversclub@shell.co.uk or by calling on 08459 006 008.   

e)    You must register your Card within six months of first using your Card, otherwise all points collected will be lost and no further points will be assigned to that Card and your Card may be deactivated unless renewed. 

3.    Earning Points

a)    SDC Cards can only be used with purchases from participating Shell Service stations or other third party networks as notified to you from time to time. 

b)    You must present your Card at the time of your purchase to qualify for any points.  If you forget your Card, please ask the cashier to validate your receipt.  You will need to provide the validated receipt, or a copy, to Customer Services within 7 days of the transaction with your Card in order to collect your points. 

c)    You will earn: 

       a.    1 point for every litre of Shell Maingrade fuels that you purchase (subject to a maximum of 125 litres per transaction); 

       b.    2 points for every litre of Shell V-Power fuels that you purchase (subject to a maximum of 125 litres per transaction); 

       c.    1 point for every litre of LPG that you purchase (subject to a maximum of 125 litres per transaction); 

       d.    1 point for every £1 spent on selected Shell Helix lubricant products ; 

       e.    25 points for every Super Shine car wash purchased; 

       f.    15 points on a Super Shine jet wash;

g.    Points for shopping online through the Shell Drivers’ Club online Shopping site; and

h. You will earn the points set out next to each corresponding deli2go item as listed on www.shell.co.uk/points-on-deli-2-go available at participating Shell Service Stations only (as listed at www.shell.co.uk/points-on-deli-2-go/participating-sites on www.shell.co.uk/points-on-deli-2-go]. 

d)    Shell reserves the right to change the rate of awarding points, and the type of qualifying purchases, by giving you reasonable notice in writing (including by e-mail or only on the relevant website, including www.shell.co.uk/driversclub and www.shell.co.uk/points-on-deli-2-go) or at participating Shell Service Stations. 

e)    Shell has the discretion to add additional points to any customers’ SDC account. 

f)    Participating Shell Service Stations may also offer you points from time to time on the purchase of other non fuel products and services. Details of these offers will be displayed in participating Shell Service Stations, on www.shell.co.uk/driversclub or may be sent to you. 

g)    Purchases made using a CRT euroShell Fuel Card or CRT Reseller/Agency card are not eligible to earn Shell Drivers’ Club points.

h.)   In the event that an unregistered card has not been used in the 6 (six) calendar months preceding 1 April and 1 October in each year, shell reserves the right to (i) cancel the Card with immediate effect and (ii) cancel any points associated with that Card with immediate effect.

4.    Redeeming your Points

a)    At the end of every calendar quarter, you will receive a statement showing you the number of points accrued in the previous quarter and whether you now qualify for your redemption option. 

b)    Your redemption option will be based on the election you made at registration. Elections can be changed up to 4 weeks before the end of each calendar quarter by visiting the website www.shell.co.uk/driversclub or calling 08459 006 008 (calls charged at local rate).  If you do not choose a single redemption option, you will receive Shell fuel vouchers as your default redemption choice. 

c)    If you have not accumulated sufficient points to be automatically sent the redemption of your choice within 12 months of the points first being accumulated, Shell reserves the right to give you 28 days to increase your points to the minimum redemption level required for your chosen redemption option. If you fail to reach the minimum redemption level required during such period, Shell reserves the right to cancel all points collected more than 1 year previously. 

d)    The specific terms and conditions relating to each redemption option are set out below.  Promotional rewards terms and conditions and previous Shell V-Power Club card redemption options are not listed here; please visit www.shell.co.uk/driversclub for details. 

e)    Redemption options with Shell partners may require the Member to agree to further terms and conditions. 

f)    Members who do not collect any points for one year will be removed from the scheme and will need to reapply for new membership should they wish to rejoin. 

g)    Members can choose to leave the scheme at any time. By leaving the scheme members forfeit the right to any points or vouchers already accrued or issued.  You may cancel your Card and account at any time by returning it to us cut in half to Shell Drivers’ Club, Box 15357, Birmingham B46 9DB. 

I:    SHELL REDEMPTION OPTIONS

A:  Fuel Vouchers

a)    Fuel vouchers will be sent with a statement to Members who have accumulated a combined total above the qualifying threshold by the end of each calendar quarter. The current qualifying threshold is 500 points. This minimum number and value of points is subject to change and will be notified to you from time to time. 

b)    500 points are worth £2.50. 

c)    Fuel vouchers can be used as part payment of fuel at participating Shell Services Stations and so if the price of the fuel exceeds this value, the balance must also be paid on purchase. If the price of the fuel is less than this value, no change will be given. 

d)    Points that cannot be converted into Shell Fuel vouchers because they are below the qualifying threshold or points that remain following conversion will be 'carried forward' as the starting balance(s) for the next collection period. 'Carried forward' points will expire after one year if the account has not been used within this period. 

e)    Fuel vouchers are valid for three months from date of issue unless otherwise stated on the voucher and are accompanied by an expiry date, beyond which they cannot be used or reissued. Additional terms and conditions may be found on the back of the vouchers. 

f)    Vouchers will be mailed to the home address recorded on your account.  You must provide a postal address to be eligible to receive this redemption option.    

B:  Gift Cards

a)    A Gift card voucher will be sent with a statement to members who have accumulated a combined total above the qualifying threshold by the end of each calendar quarter. The current qualifying threshold is 2000 points. This minimum number and value of points is subject to change and will be notified to you from time to time. 

b)    2000 points will earn you a £10 Gift Card Voucher which can be exchanged for a Gift Card of your choice at participating Shell Service Stations. 

c)    Points that cannot be converted into Gift card voucher because they are below the qualifying threshold or points that remain following conversion will be 'carried forward' as the starting balance(s) for the next collection period. 'Carried forward' points will expire after one year if the account has not been used within this period. 

d)    Customers can use the Gift Card to pay for a purchase in store or enter the unique code to pay for a purchase online. 

e)    Gift cards can be used as part payment and so if the price of the goods and/or services exceeds this value, the balance must also be paid on purchase. If the price of the goods and/or services is less than this value, no change will be given (unless the supplier states otherwise). 

f)    Gift Card vouchers will be mailed to the home address recorded on your account.  You must provide a postal address to be eligible to receive this redemption option.  

C:  Charity Donations

a)    You must provide an email address to be eligible to receive this redemption option.   

b)    For every 20 points you earn, Shell will pay 10p to your nominated charity. 

c)    A statement will be emailed to you at the end of every calendar quarter showing the amount donated on your behalf. 

D:  Co2 Reduction Certificates

a)    You must provide an email address to be eligible to receive this redemption option.   

b)    Once you earn 250 points, Shell will double this to 500 points and donate £2.50 to CO2 emission reduction projects on your behalf. 

c)    CO2 reduction certificates will be sent to you by e-mail only. 

II:  Partner Redemption Options

A: AVIOS and BRITISH AIRWAYS EXECUTIVE CLUB AVIOS

a)    You'll collect 10 Avios or 10 British Airways Executive Club Avios for every 20 Shell Points earned at participating Shell Service Stations. 

b)    Should you exchange your points for Avios, then they will appear on your personal Avios account each calendar quarter. 

c)    Should you exchange your points for British Airways Executive Club points, then they will appear on your British Airways Executive Club Membership account each calendar quarter. 

d)    If you pick AVIOS as your redemption option, Shell will pass on your personal details to AVIOS in order for them to set up and/or administer your account and to contact you with information and offers from AVIOS and their scheme partners and to help you collect and redeem your AVIOS points.   Please call 08705 577 777 or visit http://www.avios.co.uk/ for more information. 

e)    Avios Terms and Conditions will apply.   

f)    If you already a British Airways Executive Club Member, you can pick British Airways Executive Club Points as your redemption option.  If you do not already hold a British Airways Executive Membership account, your details will be passed to Avios in accordance with clause d) above.   

g)    We will share customer information with British Airways for those customers who identify themselves as British Airways Executive Club member members and provide their British Airways Executive Club card number in order for them to adminster your account.  By doing so you agree to allow Shell to share this information with British Airways.  British Airways Executive Club customers may be entitled to additional offers and benefits through the Shell Drivers’ Club programme. 

h)    Shell may aggregate details which you have submitted to the site to share with the Mileage Company as outlined in our privacy policy.  You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in enhancing our joint marketing offers. 

B:  Waitrose

a)    Waitrose vouchers will be sent with a statement to Members who have accumulated a combined total above the qualifying threshold by the end of each calendar quarter. The current qualifying threshold is 500 points. This minimum number and value of points is subject to change and will be notified to you from time to time. 

b)    500 points are worth £2.50. 

c)    Waitrose vouchers can be used as part payment at participating Waitrose locations and so if the cost of goods exceeds this value, the balance must also be paid on purchase. If the price of goods is less than this value, no change will be given. 

d)    Points that cannot be converted into Waitrose vouchers because they are below the qualifying threshold or points that remain following conversion will be 'carried forward' as the starting balance(s) for the next collection period. 'Carried forward' points will expire after one year if the account has not been used within this period. 

e)    Waitrose vouchers are valid within the year of issue and will expire on the 31 December of the year in which they are issued, beyond which they cannot be used or reissued. Additional terms and conditions may be found on the back of the vouchers. 

f)    Vouchers will be mailed to the home address recorded on your account. 

g)    Shell may aggregate details which you have submitted to the site to share with Waitrose as outlined in our privacy policy.  You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in enhancing our joint marketing offers. 

h)    We will share customer information with Waitrose for those customers who identify themselves as “MyWaitrose” loyalty members and provide their MyWaitrose card number.  By doing so you agree to allow Shell to share this information with Waitrose. MyWaitrose customers may be entitled to additional offers and benefits through the Shell Drivers’ Club programme. 

i)    Waitrose Terms and Conditions apply. 

5.    Shell V Power Club

Shell V-Power Club Cards are no longer issued and all Shell V-Power Club Card Members will be moved to the standard SDC by 1 June 2012.  This is without prejudice to any accrued rights and obligations that arose prior to this date in connection with the additional redemption options and increased earn rates you benefitted from. 

All Shell V-Power Club members will be issued with a new SDC card and their old VPC card will be terminated.   

The Ferrari Merchandise Catalogue shall as of [1 June 2012] no longer be a redemption option. 

6.    Linking Cards

a)    Shell may allow cardholders to link their Card account to other cardholders’ accounts if they reside at the same home address. Details of the availability of and conditions for this offer, when applicable, will be set out on www.shell.co.uk/driversclub

7.    Lost/Stolen Cards

a)    If your Card is lost or stolen, please contact Customer Services on 08459 006 008 and report it lost and stolen so it will be cancelled.  Please then pick-up a new card from any participating Shell Station. 

b)     When you receive your new card, please register it on the website or send an email to driversclub@shell.co.uk asking to transfer your points across with the following details:  existing card number, new card number, date of birth and postcode and Shell will transfer across your points within 14 days.   

8.    Cancelling a Card

a)     Shell reserves the right to decline to register or to withdraw and cancel a registered Card at any time. In the case of registered Cards, in the event Shell notifies you of its intention to withdraw and cancel your Card, you will be given 28 days in which to increase your points to the minimum redemption level required for your chosen redemption option in order to redeem any accumulated points outstanding on your Card. The Card will be automatically cancelled upon expiry of the 28 day period and any unredeemed points associated with that Card will also be automatically cancelled 

9.    Data Protection 

a)    The Shell Drivers Club Privacy Policy (which forms part of these Terms and Conditions) sets out how we use your data in relation to the Shell Drivers’ Club Scheme. You acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted this policy. 

10.    Variation 

a)    Shell may, by any means including notification on the website, or by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage or in writing: vary, add to or delete any of these Terms and Conditions (including without limitation any terms contained in written correspondence and the Privacy Policy) or impose new terms and conditions for any other card scheme or online service which is similar to the current card scheme or online service (whether or not such new scheme is operated by Shell or by a third party on behalf of Shell).  The use of any Card after notification of any variation to these Terms and Conditions or the imposition of new terms and conditions shall be deemed to be acceptance of the varied or new terms and conditions by the Customer. 

b)    These Terms and Conditions, as amended, varied or supplemented from time to time, supersede any earlier terms and conditions issued by Shell.
