• The Promotion
    • The promoter of the ‘Costa to Costa’ promotion (the "Promotion") is Costa Express Limited, 3 Knaves Beech, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP10 9QR (company number 03145187) (the "Promoter'').
    • The Promotion  runs for the shorter of the period (the "Promotional Period"):
      • from 00:01 GMT on 02 November 2017 to 23:59 GMT on 04 January 2018; or
      • while stocks of the promotional leaflets last.
    • Prize claims must be made on or before 23:59 GMT on 05 February 2018.
  • Participants
    • This Promotion is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone else professionally or personally connected with this Promotion.
  • How to Enter
    • The Promotion will run at participating Shell service stations. Details of the participating service stations are available at www.shell.co.uk/costatocosta.
    • For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a Qualifying Purchase is the purchase of any sized Costa Express drink at a participating Shell service station (as defined in clause 3.1) (a “Qualifying Purchase”).
    • Upon making a Qualifying Purchase, a person wishing to participate in the Promotion should peel back the panel on the promotional card supplied at the till (“Promotional Card”) to see if they have won a prize (a “Prize”). Any person who has won a Prize (“Winner”) should retain their Promotional Card indicating a Prize win (“Winning Card”) pending validation of a Prize claim.
  • Prizes

There are 350,610 Prizes available during the Promotional Period. Subject to the Prize conditions as set out in paragraph 5, the Prizes are as follows:

  • 10 individual “Tier 1 Holiday” Prizes:
    • The Tier 1 Holiday destinations include: Costa del Sol (Spain); Costa Dorada (Spain); Costa Blanca (Spain); Costa Brava (Spain); Costa Adeje (Tenerife); Costa Teguise (Lanzarote); Costa Calida (Spain); Costa de Almeria (Spain); Costa Verde (Portugal); Costa Verde (Spain); Costa Verde (Brazil) and Costa Rica.
  • 100 individual “Tier 2 Coastal Weekend Breaks” Prizes:
    • The Tier 2 Coastal Weekend Break destinations include: Venice (Italy); Naples (Italy); Nice (France); Lisbon (Portugal); Balearic Islands (choose from Ibiza, Mallorca or Menorca); Jersey; San Sebastian (Spain); Barcelona (Spain); Costa del Sol (Spain); Eurocamp with a choice of destinations in France; Seaside cottage break with a choice of UK locations; Dorset; Brighton; Newquay; Blackpool or Norfolk.
  • 500 individual “Tier 3 Travel Money” Prizes:
    • The Tier 3 Travel Money Prize includes a £100 cash prize.
      • Prizes will be awarded as a cheque for the value of £100 to the postal address supplied by each Winner on the entry form. Each cash prize Winner will have 5 days following receipt of notification of their win to confirm the validity of the postal address and confirm the full name submitted on the entry form to claim their Prize or the Prize will automatically be issued to the address provided.
      • Prizes are as specified and are non-transferable. Unless otherwise agreed with the Promoter, Winners are not permitted to transfer the right to take up a Prize to anyone else.

Together, the Tier 1 Prizes, Tier 2 Prizes and Tier 3 Prizes (the “Star Prizes”).

  • 350,000 individual Coffee Prizes of a free Costa Express drink of any size (the “Coffee Prize”).

The Prizes are as stated and nothing else is included. All other costs and expenses not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions in taking up the Prizes are the Winners’ own expense (if applicable). All Prizes are subject to availability.

        • Costa Blanca (Spain) – includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 7 nights 4* hotel accommodation sharing a family room with breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and 2 children (age 2-11).
        • Costa Brava (Spain) – includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 7 nights 4* hotel accommodation sharing a family room with breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and 2 children (age 2-11).

        • Costa Teguise (Lanzarote) – includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 7 nights 4* hotel accommodation sharing a family room with breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and 2 children (age 2-11) OR includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 7 nights 5* hotel accommodation sharing a twin or double room with breakfast and dinner for 2 adults.
        • Costa Calida (Spain) – includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 7 nights 4* hotel accommodation sharing a family room with breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and 2 children (age 2-11).

    • The Tier 2 Coastal Weekend Break Prizes:
      • The winner can chose from a choice of 16 destinations:

        • Jersey – includes return Economy flights from London, airport transfers, 2 nights’ accommodation at Hotel de France sharing a twin or double room with breakfast and dinner on one night for 2 adults.

    • One member of the party must be aged 18 or over. Guests below the age of 16 must provide written parental consent to partake in the Tier 1 and 2 Prize unless accompanied by a parent or guardian;
    • The Winners and their guests must abide by and are subject to the relevant airline’s published Conditions of Carriage;
    • Issued flight tickets are only valid for flights, dates and times shown. Name changes to the flight seats once confirmed are not permitted;
    • The Winners and their guests must travel together on all flights;
    • All elements of the Prize package must be taken as part of the same trip;
    • If a flight or hotel booking is cancelled by the Winner, no alternatives will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided;
    • A valid credit or debit card will be required to check in to your room and will be used to guarantee any incidentals such as in-room calls or services;
    • The Winners and their guests will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas are the responsibility of the Winner and their guest. The Promoter or its agent Cloud Nine Incentives Ltd (1 Mercers Manor Barns, Sherington, Newport, Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, MK16 9PU, company number 07342147) (the “Promotional Agent”) cannot be held responsible if the Winner or any of the travelling party fail to obtain the required travel documentation;
    • Return transfers from the Winners’ home to the nearest major international airport in London are not included;
    • For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize does not include domestic travel, food and beverage, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, car hire, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions (including spending money) and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs;
    • Winners are responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guests whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter and fulfilment agency reserve the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the Winners and/or guests from participation in the Tier 1 or 2 Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Tier 1 or 2 Prize or the Winners and/or guests act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Winners, must at all times comply with any directions provided by the Promoter, airline or any companies associated with the Prize;
    • The Tier 1 and 2 Prize holidays are valid for travel until December 2018 excluding travel over Christmas, Easter, and bank holidays.  Some locations may also have further restrictions.  All travel must be completed by 20 December 2018.
    • All Tier 1 and 2 Prize holiday destinations and dates are subject to availability.  Travel will be subject to flight, hotel availability and travel availability at the date of booking the trip. The Winner should notify the Promoter at least six weeks in advance of his/her preferred dates for taking the trip. 
    • All travel must be completed within the time-frame stated within the Promotional Period. Extensions to the validity of the Prize will not be allowed unless first authorised by the Promotional Agent.
    • The Promoter will accept no responsibility for hotels / tours / transport companies etc. being withdrawn or amended.  In the event of this, the Promotional Agent will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative.
    • All travel arrangements offered are at the discretion of the Promoter and Promotional Agent.  Any requests relating to airport, airlines or hotels cannot be guaranteed.
    • Any amendments made by the Winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier.
    • There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the Prize.
    • The Winner and their party (where applicable) are responsible for and must comply with any health advice / regulations / inoculations required by any destination country.  Any associated costs for this are the responsibility of the Winner and their party (where applicable).

  • How to Claim Prizes
    • If you have won one of our Star Prizes, go to www.shell.co.uk/costatocosta and enter the unique code featured on the winning Promotional Card (the “Code”) along with your personal details (including full name, email and postal address) to find out the Prize that you have won. A Star Prize Code will result in the allocation of a Star Prize via a secure, random and automated process provided by Activation; Top Floor The Architecture Centre, 16 Narrow Quay, Bristol BS1 4QA (the independent promotional verification service) upon the submission of the Code on the website www.shell.co.uk/costatocosta.
    •  If you have won a Coffee Prize, please take your winning Promotional Card to the till point and present it as payment for your next Costa Express hot drink to a Shell Customer Service Champion at a participating Shell service station.
    • All Prizes must be claimed by 23:59 GMT on 05 February 2018.
    • Promotional Cards showing any sign tampering, or those stickers which are illegible, damaged or defaced will be void. Photocopies will not be accepted. No responsibility is taken for claims that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Promotional Cards cannot be transferred, auctioned, sold or traded.
  • Promoter Rights
    • The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice in the event of reasons beyond the Promoter’s control. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on www.shell.co.uk/costatocosta. In this instance, the Promoter will make reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect to participants ;
    • The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and any Prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification;
    • All Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative in whole or in part. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value;
    • Unclaimed Prizes will not be re-awarded;
    • If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entre process and to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion;
    • If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, such as a change to a venue or an alteration or cancellation of an event, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation; and
    • By entering the Promotion entrants agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion and authorises the Promoter’s inclusion in any third party publicity.
  • General
    • Winners’ names and counties will be available on request at costatocosta@grey.com between 06 February 2018 and 06 March 2018;
    • Any personal data submitted as part of the Promotion will be stored and processed on behalf of the Promoter as Data Controller, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
    • As permitted in accordance with applicable laws, by entering the Promotion, the participants agree that their data may be used to administer the Promotion, including but not limited to contacting a Winner of the Promotion and for publicity purposes as stated above and any Winner’s name will be provided on request. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at the email address set out above.
    • By accepting a Prize, a Winner agrees to hold the Promoter and its affiliates harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the award of or the use, misuse or redemption of any Prize (or paying for the costs thereof), where this is permitted by law. The Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in this Promotion or use or redemption of any Prize.
    • To the fullest extent allowed by law neither the Promoter nor its agents shall be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion or the use or redemption of any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the Promoter or its agents and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
    • Use of any vouchers awarded as prizes shall be subject to the terms and conditions on the reverse of or otherwise associated with those vouchers.
    • This Promotion including these Terms and Conditions is governed by the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any dispute arising under or in connection with the Promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions.
