Quadrant is rebranded Shell Gas Direct Limited.
Shell Gas Direct acquires Texaco's industrial and commercial gas business and a portfolio of small and medium-sized customers from Total

1999
Shell Energy Europe, the European arm of Shell Gas and Powerglobal division, is created

2001
Shell Gas Direct acquires the medium-sized customers of the Alliance/Statoil portfolio

Shell Energy Europe and Shell Gas Direct become part of the same group, to cement the European gas and power plans of Shell
