This video depicts the journey Shell V-Power makes after a car pulls up at a forecourt pump and the liquid makes its way into the fuel tank. It shows in graphic detail how the fuel travels from the tank to the pump, through to the fuel filter, injector, valves and piston, actively cleaning the car’s engine as it goes.

We work closely with the Ferrari team in Formula One to develop the highest performance Shell V-Power race fuels. This experience has inspired our development of the new formulation of Shell V-Power fuels for road cars to bring performance and power to motorists, whatever car they drive.

A dedicated team of Shell scientists use the Formula One environment as a laboratory. We work on many factors that affect a car’s engine, and then use these insights when formulating Shell V-Power road fuel. The new formulation of Shell V-Power has been developed by the same Shell scientists who work on Ferrari Formula One race fuels.
