The ETI's aim is to accelerate the deployment of affordable and secure low carbon energy technologies to support the UK's response to the challenge of climate change. ETI identifies technology excellence in collaborative project teams bringing together industry (large and small) and research organisations working in focused low carbon programmes.
ETI projects move promising engineering and technology developments through to demonstration in a realistic environment to prepare for commercial deployment. Leveraging the skills, capabilities and market access routes of its Members to enable affordable, reliable and clean energy solutions, the ETI seeks to make a significant contribution towards the UK's 2050 CO2 targets.
